MAJOR Curiosity Quench Update!!
Hey there friend! It’s jack from Curiosity Quench 🙂
You know how I’m making an app to help get you off of all of the other apps (TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram, etc etc)?
Well, today is about how — with the help of my friend josh — I’ve come up with the ultimate update that is going to help SO FRIKIN MUCH in helping more people (that includes you); to scroll less on our phones, and to do more of the things we actually enjoy.
Y’know, the things that make us feel alive, human, like life is fun (because it is! it can be!) Let me tell you more…
The main concept of this new update is mindfulness and intention (I know, I know, but hear me out). You don’t need to delete all of the other apps you seek to stop being addicted to… What you likely need is rather: a better, more intentional, distraction!
What is that distraction? That’s the best part. YOU are in control. YOU get to decide what you want to focus on. YOU get to choose where your attention will go.
How? You pick a “distraction”, or in this case: a topic of interest. Not just any interest, but one that grabs you, something that you are innately curious about. This is the general idea of Curiosity Quench so far… Explore a list of 1000 different topics, find one that you are fascinated about, then learn and do that instead of scrolling.
And this works quite well to help people. I know it’s helped me a lot. But there’s been a gap in the current way CQ works. All of the plans are using AI to give generic steps. There is no human touch, no personalization, no curation of relevant content to consume with one’s topic of interest. Although it’s still better than trying to block all the apps cold turkey (bandaging the problem, not curing or solving it)… It would be nice if the plans were a bit more helpful.
But how could they be better? more helpful? more USEFUL… Well I was asking myself that question for months.
Better AI? Better prompting? More custom data input?
No, no and not enough.
These things aren’t good enough I realized. They don’t take CQ to the next level: Being a real solution, a cure for chronic consumption.
After all, It’s not that consuming content is the problem. The real problem is consuming content endlessly. Consuming content when you could have very well been enjoying the rest of what life — outside of your phone — has to offer.
It’s easy to scroll without thinking WHY you’re doing it.
But what is the solution? What could be a better way to consume content? In a way that doesn’t make you feel like sh*t after, in a way that brings you actual joy.
The solution is curation.
Curated content.
Content that is intentionally put in front of you. After you have chosen — for yourself, not by an algorithm — a topic of interest you want to learn or take action on.
And Curiosity Quench is bringing this dreaming idea into reality, starting today. As I write this email there are two curated plans that you can use right now, but by the end of next week almost all 1000 topics should have curated plans for them.
Almost every step in every plan will have curated content to help you do the step. So if you feel stuck, you can consume some content, but it will always be relevant, intentional put there to help you do more of what you actually want to do.
Want to try it for yourself right now?
Go search “Accounting” or “Overcoming Chronic Consumption” in the search tab and swipe right on either to get your first curated plan today.
Here is a little demo of it in action, if you’de rather watch. (https://youtu.be/LPV_RKveTJc)
Submit your own plans!!
Another big thing this introduces too is letting anyone submit curated action plans. If you know a lot of even a little about a topic, you can submit your own action plan with curated content here

Share your knowledge with 40,000+ people and help others do the same things you’re interested in!!

In the last 11 months CQ has come a long way, and this is what I think will be the most important moment to help even more people. Please let me know what you think too! (Just reply to this email)
Finally here is the update notes I released in the CQ discord earlier today with all of the info on what I added this week alone! (Make sure you update your app on app store/ play store)
