Crypto Is Doomed, McDonalds starting lay offs.

In the past 3 years of being interested & invested personally in cryptocurrencies there has been a running joke (& reality) that if at any point someone lost a bunch of money, they could just go work at McDonald’s until prices return to new highs. Flip some burgers, maybe some NFTs too, until everything sorts itself out in the markets and we all reach a euphoric state again…However, times are changing & I have some terrible news to share... McDonald’s is starting layoffs.

Well, you probably already knew about the news as I put it in the title, but what I haven’t shared with you yet is that I used to be one of these McDonald’s workers. In the following text, I want to cover 2 main things:

• My McDonald’s escape route

• Why crypto isn’t actually doomed

(yeah just 2, I don’t want to waste your time too much)

Why Crypto isn’t actually doomed

To ease your conscience we’ll start with why crypto isn’t actually doomed.

It may be obvious to some that the doom of crypto was more of a joke playing on the lost stability in McDonald’s employment than it is the actual doom of progression in cryptocurrencies.However, I’d like to cover some perhaps less obvious lines of thinking around crypto doom and reiterate why this doesn’t actually matter, what actually does & then we will go to the escape route for those caught in a fuss about the layoffs.The real effects of McDonald’s layoffs on crypto are essentially none. Sure there is probably some sort of butterfly effect for one person who got laid off that may be an anomaly in the system that could have ended all our world’s problems if they had just remained at McDonald’s for 2 years and 31.5 days more… But at the end of the day, the people developing in crypto, & building out the technology are 9/10 times not laid off McDonald’s employees. More often than not the people who feel doomed are retail investors looking for an escape from where they are in life, asking crypto to save them. Cryptocurrencies are not doomed at all, right now is actually the worst they will ever be from here on out, the underlying technology is only improving as is the need for crypto with poor traditional banking structure showing its true colors more and more each day (insolvency).What actually matters here is that people are still building on top of what has been built & continue to have hope that we can make a better future of financial tooling that makes people’s lives better. As far as I can tell, we still have that.

My Mcdonald’s escape route

I worked at McDonald’s for 3 years, saved a bunch of money & hated almost every second of working there, but at the end of the day, it was my entry to investing & having the opportunity to go all in on myself & my own business.Saving up money allowed me to comfortably quit working, at the time I was still in college so I had my mom not charging me rent. Shortly after quitting McDonald’s, I dropped out in my 6th semester of college as I was starting to make money on the internet through YouTube & other online businesses. I was making around $100-$500 on a good month at this time, but I knew I could make it a full-time thing If I wasn’t splitting my attention so much. Realistically I could have probably done it while still in school or working at McDonald’s but I had the luxury of a fallback: money saved + cheap rent (not being in college anymore = no free rides in my house).A couple of years later & here we are today, I’ve hit it big and made $100,000 in a month & then lost it all, this year I’ve already had a $10,000 month too! Working on the internet from my mom’s basement instead of a job I probably wouldn’t have enjoyed at all. So, how can you use my example towards your McDonald’s escape route? Well it’s quite simple.Not easy, but simple.1) Believe in your own ability2) Try a lot of things3) Fail a lot4) Learn a lot5) Find your own escape route along the wayNo one will ever have the template for you to reach where you want to be, you’ll have to figure it out yourself (sorry), Your ideal is probably a lot different than mine & therefore you will have different interests, different goals & a different idea of success.

The main point here is to find out what YOU want & avoid distractions leading you away from it as much as possible. You don’t want to work at McDonald’s anymore? Focus on replacing your job, getting a new one, and focus on what you want.
