Gain infinite internet power (by yourself)
Here's my plan to make a one person media empire using the internet without any employees or coding.
I’m building a media empire by myself so I can scale to the moon & bring my message to hundreds of millions of people.
I’ll be using video editing & impactful writing as my core skills to develop for this forefront.
Keep reading to learn how I plan to do this, why I’m doing it, & if I may be a little bit crazy.
Before we dive in:
I’ve made a 100% Free guide on how you can make creating content easier (make building leverage easier)
If you’re someone who does in fact want to build leverage, then this guide will help you take more action & get content out the door.

Now, the scoop on building infinite internet power:
The world we live in now is not one that pays much attention to the big billboards alongside the road.
You know why, I know why…
Because we are constantly looking down at our phones.
This is where the attention is; on the internet.
& with all of the attention on the internet now, who is king?… no, what is king?
Content, & even more so: Captivating Content, is king.
& this is AWESOME.
anyone can suddenly build an infinite amount of leverage (power) through media & the internet.
anyone on the internet has a chance to put whatever they want in front of billions of people.
For the last 3 years I’ve been making content on the internet for a living, I’ve run into some walls & broken through some too…
One thing that’s stopped me from more people looking down at their smartphones to see my message, is a lack of capturing media.
Sure I can ramble as a floating head on the internet pretty well on topics I find interesting at the present moment.
Sure I can add in some cool supporting media to showcase my points.
But what I’ve been missing in the last years to really leave a lasting impact boils down to 3 key elements.
1) a deadset interest to grow & iterate on what IS working, & to explore the ideas performing best further
2) a persuasive & intriguing script to base my videos on (writing skills)
3) a deep level of captivating storytelling through sound AND visual (writing + editing)
The Master Plan (simple & boring)
I won’t drag this out into some fluff-filled section, my plan is not super exciting when we boil it down, here’s what I’ll be doing to level up my skills and ability to capture people’s attention (+ deliver value):
Step 1: Daily progression. (practice)
Every day I will be honing in on one of these skills by practicing them with a critical eye on how I can improve. 1-hour minimum, no exceptions. Access to phone = access to practice writing.
I used to spend a total of 10 minutes editing each of my YouTube videos. This got me to 27,000 subscribers but growth quickly stagnated. Expanding my skills to keep viewers interested while developing my ability to give impactful messages through my writing is the ultimate combo for me.
1% better is the aim, & if I can become 1% better every day on these skills (adapt effective writing frameworks, learn how to do something new in my editing software) then after 365 days I would be 37x better.

Step 2: Reflection
Look back once a week for 30 minutes to dive into key metrics & note them down.
Note down: Click-through rates on recent emails, Twitter impressions, YouTube audience retention on latest videos (where did we lose people’s interest?), & take note of realizations have I made this week or improvements I believe I need to make.
Step 3: Iteration
Progress without iteration leads to a dead end, I experienced this firsthand with my YouTube channel & you probably have found yourself at a dead end of progress before too.
After reflecting it’s time to proceed with my daily progress while having what isn’t working in mind & constantly being in the pursuit of what may work, testing it, & iterating until I find what actually works.
This may mean adjusting headlines to get better click-through rates, finding a new way to pace videos to keep people engaged for more than just the first 10 seconds, or finding ways to write boring things in an impactful and grabbing way that makes people want to talk about the imprint you left on them through your writing.
Step 4: Repeat.
Why do I want to do this?
You probably aren’t asking this question, but it’s important to know.
A media empire sounds grandeur but in reality, to me, this is what it means:
ability to earn a living talking about whatever I want
reach millions of people to spread a message worth spreading
the ability to add value to people’s lives through my own experiences
That’s really it.
No world domination, no crusade to brainwash people into a single belief.
Just the ability to create something that came from my soul & have it impact others in a positive way.
How can you do the same? Do you want to?
How can you do the same thing I’m doing?
Well, step one would be to follow my journey by subscribing to this newsletter if you aren’t already.
But in reality, the biggest step you can take to build leverage on the internet is just to start creating things & documenting progress or solutions to problems you have, have had, or overcame.
Some very useful insights on modern leverage YOU can build:
Code and media are permissionless leverage. They're the leverage behind the newly rich. You can create software and media that works for you while you sleep.

If you can't code, write books and blogs, record videos and podcasts.

In general, the aim here is to build leverage, today media is the easiest & cheapest way to do so.
Build a personal brand, build an audience, solve problems, provide value, get compensated with growing leverage & modern IOUs (money)
Now… Would you want to do the same as me?
Focus on building leverage through media (writing, video) & expanding those skills.
Maybe you do, but the best question I always find to ask myself is WHY.
& along with why you will end up asking “What do I want out of life?”
I mentioned above why I want this form of leverage, & why I want to build it on my own…
but you’re a completely different person, so reply to this email for me (i’ll respond) Write to me: Why do you want to build leverage on the internet?
THE TOUGHEST PARTS TO COME
The toughest parts of making a one-person media empire are probably the walls that will inevitably rise along my path.
like any path:
Problems or moments arise and feel like “There’s no way I can do this anymore”, “this is too hard”, or “Why did I ever think I could do this”
Those types of walls are the ones that are the most worth pushing through in my direct experience, & there’s no limit to new walls that will come into your path.
but this is a good thing, the more walls to climb: the more purposeful & fulfilling this path becomes.
& the more things I’ll have to share with the rest of the internet that my one-person media empire reaches.
In general, hopelessness, loneliness, & a feeling that everything is doomed to fail are pretty natural feelings when you build something
or try to take on a big achievement that doesn't follow a linear progression.
The hardest part of all of this is also the best part & I get to figure it out as I go. Iterating one day & one step at a time.
